Welcome to my little corner of the world,I had a busy blog many years ago based around card making and just recently I fund myself missing it and the blog world. So rather than resurrect it I started afresh this a place for me to allow my creativity to run wild, share my musings on life, share my adventures in my neighbourhood and the beauty of the Lake District (the place I call home).

You may also find, ramblings on the Royal Family, Food, Books, Film, Travel, fashion and a whole lot more, this is a window into my soul and what makes me tick.

I enjoyed creative writing at school and I enjoy being creative so this little blog combines the two.

The Tattooist Of Auschwitz Author: Heather Morris When we are first introduced to Lale in April 1942, the young 24 year old seems well to do and well presented and educated. He seems to be uninterested in his surroundings or getting to know the men that are with him, off to fight in the war, pre-occupied with thoughts of home and the family he left behind. When he does speak to the men he is always trying to encourage them to be hopeful and that they have nothing to fear, I do not feel this was naivety on his part. Lale has a great empathy with the prisoners as they arrived by the truckload, he was doing a job in tattooing their numbers, he didn't want to inflict the unnecessary pain and this showed in the apologies he muttered under his breath in different languages, he could speak Russian, German, Yiddish and Slovakian. Autumn

Step outside and breathe in the air, the season is changing, Autumn is there. In the leaves on the trees, falling down to the ground, in the song of the birds flying around. In their chirping chorus, in the trees up high, tucked up in their nests, warm and dry. There is a crisp misty blanket that swirls in the air, it embraces the mountains and fells. It changes the colours and adds drama and flair, pinches your nose and tangles your hair. To walk in this land at this time of year is a joy beholden to the eye, it fills my soul with wonder watching the seasons change, As time ticks on and the years go by.
